An FM radio receiver apparatus is provided with: a stereo decoder unit (301) that separates a stereo signal of a received FM broadcasting wave into audio signals of each of the channels; a binarization processing unit (302) that binalizes each of the audio signals of the channels that were separated by the stereo decoder unit (301); and a correlation evaluation unit (303) that accumulates the audio signals of each of the channels binalized by the binarization processing unit (302) for a prescribed period of time, and evaluates the degree of correlation on the basis of the audio signals of each of the channels that were accumulated. The degree of separation between the channels of the stereo signal is controlled in accordance with the degree of correlation evaluated by the correlation evaluation unit (303).
