PURPOSE: A power control device of a vehicle terminal and a method thereof are provided to minimize the power consumption of the navigation terminal by switching-control in order that the power source is provided with the essential compositions for the navigation terminal drive and black box. CONSTITUTION: A power control device of a vehicle terminal comprises a black box terminal(100), a navigation terminal(200), and a power source managing controller(220). If the electric power supply is secluded from the vehicle, the navigation terminal offers the power source of the inner battery to the black box terminal. The navigation terminal controls the supply of the batter power to the module. The power source managing controller controls the supply of the batter power to the module.
