<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission driving device which restrains occurrence of luminance unevenness and screen flickering due to waveform distortion of a driving signal in a light emitting panel which is ready for an active matrix type driving system; and to provide a light emitting device and a method for controlling the drive of the same, and electronic equipment equipped with the light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: A second signal voltage applying period Twh2 and a first signal voltage applying period Twh1 are set to the writing operation period Twrt of each line. Firstly, a selection signal Ssel of a second signal voltage Vsh2 (for example, +18 V) based on an Hi voltage 2 is applied to a selection line Ls in the second signal voltage applying period Twh2.
