<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily perform image processing of PDL data, and to achieve precise image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 100α includes cores 20, 30. Each of the cores 20, 30 includes a CPU 11 for generating printable data based on the PDL data by executing language analysis processing for generating a display list of objects by performing a language analysis of the PDL data, drawing processing for rasterizing objects of the display list, and composition processing for compositing data of the rasterized objects. Each of the cores 20, 30 is set to one of two kinds of resolution for rasterization. Rasterization of drawing processing of the cores 20, 30 is executed in parallel for each core with resolution set to each core.
