<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provides an image forming apparatus that can improve not only positioning accuracy of a transfer roller but also operability with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the transfer roller 44 arranged to be opposite to a photoreceptor drum; a transfer roller-pressing spring member 73 configured to bias the transfer roller 44 toward the photoreceptor drum; a guide for feeding transfer paper; a unit fixing hook 61 configured to be biased by a spring in a locking direction; a transfer roller-releasing lever 76 configured to separate the transfer roller 44 from the photoreceptor drum against the bias by the transfer roller-pressing spring member 73; a housing for arranging those therein and including a rotation fulcrum at a lower part thereof; a transfer roller-positioning part provided on the side of the body of the apparatus and configured to position the transfer roller 44; and an opening and closing operation handle 53 configured to rotate the unit fixing hook 61 in a locking-release direction and also rotate the transfer roller-releasing lever 76 in the locking-release direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
