<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus that enables easy execution of various operations via a touch pen used for touch operation on a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes an axial rotation detection part 38 for detecting a rotation of the touch pen 14 about an axis C, an inclination detection part 42 for detecting an inclination of the touch pen 14 to a plane part 12p, an input mode determination part 30 for determining whether an input mode is in effect in which the touch pen 14 is used for input to the touch panel 24, and an operation control part 32 for, when the input mode determination part 30 provides an affirmative determination, controlling the display of an image on a display 22 or changing the input condition of touch operation on the touch panel 24 according to at least either the result of detection by the axial rotation detection part 38 or the result of detection by the inclination detection part 42.
