<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To at least reduce the risk that value information retained in a value information retaining unit that is removable from a portable terminal may be altered against the will of the owner of the value information. <P>SOLUTION: A value information retaining device 24 removable from the portable terminal 20 includes a value information retaining unit 25 for retaining value information SE; an authentication unit 28, which determines whether the portable terminal 20 is to be allowed to access the value information, and which if it should be allowed to access, outputs an unlock signal; a power detection unit 29, which detects that the amount of power supplied from a power supply unit is not greater than a predetermined value; and a lock unit 26, which permits access to the value information retaining unit 25, in response to the unlock signal or which inhibits accessing, in response to the amount of power supplied from the power supply unit which is not greater than the predetermined value, so as to permit or prohibit radio communication that alters the value information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
