PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable camera system digitization by step-by-step equipment investment. SOLUTION: Digital video signals S<SB>D</SB>sequentially-sent from a camera head unit 2 are stored in an image memory unit 12. The stored digital video signals S<SB>D</SB>are converted into analog video signals S<SB>A</SB>by a D/A converter unit 15, and are sent to a capture board 3 at a timing based on a synchronous signal S<SB>S</SB>from the capture board 3. Since a traditional analog capture board can be used as the capture board 3, equipment investment when changing the analog camera system into a digital system can be minimized than in changing all the equipment completely, and digitization by step-by-step equipment investment can be achieved.
