PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction of an effective ventilation cross sectional area to secure a ventilation air amount, enhance a sealing function between a movable blade and a ventilation passage, and improve air leakage efficiency and pressure loss performance, in a highly airtight damper connected to a ventilation duct. SOLUTION: A sealing means S comprising a gasket 17 having a lip piece 17c at the outer periphery is provided at the outer peripheral edge of the openable/closable movable blade 13 journaled within the ventilation passage 2 of a casing 1 to seal the inside of the ventilation passage 2. When the movable blade 13 is fully closed, upper and lower edges, right and left edges and four horn-like parts 17d at corners of the lip piece 17c are brought into close contact with a lip pressure contact face 8b, a lip sliding contact face 8a and four corners of a mounting rib 8 in the ventilation passage 2, respectively.
