PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quake-absorbing construction method for a detached house such as a wooden-structure conventional method of construction and a two-by-four method (two-by-four system) or the like. SOLUTION: The shape of the foundation 6 is changed from a convex cross section to a concave cross section, and the material 1 being the base of a building is dropped into a hollow portion of a concave shape. Furthermore, by installing quake-absorbing materials 2, 3 between the foundation 6 and the undersurface and the side of the material 1 being a base, the vibrations of an earthquake transmitted through the foundation 6 can be damped before they are transmitted through the building, reducing the destruction and collapse of the building.
