If one of the plurality of directions is specified via the user input unit (11) while characters and numbers are being displayed on the display unit (21), the control unit selects different characters and different numbers for changing the characters and/or numbers displayed on the display unit (21) to other characters and numbers. The control unit then has the display unit (21) display the selected other characters and numbers.</p>
