<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate decoding by reducing the influence due to noise or distribution constants. <P>SOLUTION: A code scanner 200 includes a distance measurement section 232 for measuring the distance to a reading object; a filter processing section 224 includes a plurality of filters 224a, that correspond to a plurality of distances and are used for performing processing of making an image acquired by imaging the reading object at a position separated by the distance with a CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) 212 that is close to the ideal image of the reading object. Based on the distance measured by a distance measuring section 232, a filter selection section 230 selects a filter suitable for processing of an image imaged at the distance, of the plurality of filters 224a, the filter processing section 224 applies the selected filter processing to the image of the reading object imaged by the CMOS 212, and a decoding section 225 analyzes the image, after the processing and decodes a code symbol arranged in the reading object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
