PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for displaying an alarm for a hearing-impaired person are provided to inform the hearing-impaired person of the generation of sound by turning on a lamp with a different color according to the kind of sounds. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of microphones(100-1 to 100-N) is installed in a place where a sound is generated and converts a surrounding sound into an electric signal. A first multiplexer(120) is switched according to a switching signal to successively switch the signals of the plurality of microphones. A controller(160) previously sets an alarm color with regard to the plurality of microphones and determines whether an alarm is generated by inputting the signals of the plurality of microphones while switching the first multiplexer with a switching signal. If the alarm is generated, the controller controls the alarm display with the preset color of the corresponding microphone. A lamp driver(190) displays the alarm by turning on the lamp with the preset color according to the control of the controller. |
