<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master cylinder that reliably prevents erosion phenomenon of a cup seal. <P>SOLUTION: The master cylinder presses a brake fluid in a pressure chamber 68 formed by a piston 19 and a cylinder body 15. An annular projection 100 is projectedly disposed on the cup seal 35 held by the cylinder body 15 and allowing the piston 19 to slide along the inner periphery thereof. The annular projection is compressively inserted between the piston 19 and a curved chamfer 96 disposed between an annular wall 30c behind the cup seal 35 and a cylinder wall 95. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
