<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source control method for facilitating a power source operation by a remote controller of a television receiver. <P>SOLUTION: Electronic equipment displays a powered-on or powered-off state of the electronic equipment using a power source LED integrated in the electronic equipment. The electronic equipment includes a power source control means and a power source LED control means. When a powering-on operation is performed immediately after a powering-off operation by an external input/output means for inputting a command to the electronic equipment, the power source control means powers off a predetermined circuit for a specific period and then powers on it.
