<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of record contents and increase the capacity of recording in a technique for recording digital data by printing, displaying or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A color mapping part 125 multiplexes the data output from a bit interleaver 124-1 and the data output from a bit interleaver 124-2 and maps the multiplexed data to colors and color density. A space interleaver 126 rearranges the data in order to spatially distribute the arrangement of data mapped to color cells.
