PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device, an image forming device and a paper folding method, capable of eliminating the occurrence of wrinkles in an additionally folding part. SOLUTION: When a CPU of a folding processing device control device receives a line speed, a paper size and a folding mode from the image forming device side (ST1), the CPU determines an operation pattern (ST2). When a paper detecting sensor detects the paper tip and a detecting signal becomes ON (ST3), separation-approach operation of respective additionally folding roller pairs is performed in the predetermined timing with that timing as a trigger, and performs additionally folding operation only in a fold line (ST4). This operation is repeated up to the final paper of a job (ST5→ST3→ST4→ST5), and processing is finished. Thus, only the fold line of the paper is pressurized, and the fold line of the paper is deepened, and at the same time, the roller pairs separate a part except for a pressurizing part, and the occurrence of problems such as the wrinkles and a stain in a part except for the fold line is prevented.
