PURPOSE: A light emitting diode chip with a distributed brag reflector is provided to reliably secure the reflectivity of a distributed brag reflector by controlling surface roughness on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(30) includes an active layer(27). A distributed brag reflector(45) is arranged on the backside surface of a substrate(21). The distributed brag reflector has more than 90% of reflectivity in the light of a first wave length in a blue wavelength area, the light of a second wave length in a green wavelength area, and the light of a third wave length in a red area.
