PURPOSE: An image display device and operating method for the same are provided to conveniently set an editing interval by a user by using stereoscopic effect and easily grasping the content in the edited interval. CONSTITUTION: A progress bar according to an image and reproduction of an image is displayed(S520). An editing opening signal for designating a point which an editing target interval is started among a total interval of the image(S530). A thumbnail image is generated by extracting the image. The thumbnail image and the processing bar about an image corresponding to the point after inputting the editing opening signal is displayed as multiple time point image(S540).
