PURPOSE: An impedance matching method and an ultrasound system therefor are provided to perform impedance matching between an ultrasound probe and a main body according to a diagnosing subject of a target object. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit(110) receives input information from a user. A main body(120) generates a first analog signal for impedance matching. The main body controls impedance matching with an ultrasound probe using a digital signal provided from the ultrasound probe. An impendence matching unit(130) applies a different impedance value to the first analog signal to form a second analog signal. The ultrasound probe converts the second analog signal into digital signals.
