摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses an increase in circuit scale even in configuration in which a photosensitive drum is exposed with light beams emitted by a plurality of light emitting elements. <P>SOLUTION: Correction data corresponding to main scanning positions for two lasers, the first row and the last row, are sequentially read from table memories 160a and 160b via a data bus 171. The read correction data are sequentially calculated and adjusted by a conformity processing part 163 and then each held in a linear interpolation calculating part 164. The linear interpolation calculating part 164 further performs the linear interpolation calculation for the number of intermediate lasers excluding the first and last rows from the two held correction data, and outputs the result of the calculation. As a result, the linear interpolation calculating part 164 outputs correction data for the number of four lasers in total. A multiplying part 154 multiplies the four input image data and four correction data together, thereby creating exposure data.
