PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a temperature of cooling air in a center part of a PDP panel, and uniformize a temperature of the PDP panel by controlling a cooling air flow rate of each room depending on presence of a tray. SOLUTION: The cooling air 102 supplied from a blowing port 104 by both ducts 103 is blown on a surface of the PDP panel 101 through a plurality of fans 201 arranged in the opposite direction of the surface of the PDP panel 101. The PDP panel 101 is cooled by exchanging heat between the blown cooling air 102 and the heat generated by the PDP panel 101. The cooling air 102 is supplied thereby to the entire PDP panel 101, and heat exchange acts on the entire PDP panel 101 to uniformize the temperature in the surface of the PDP panel 101. A straightening plate is arranged in front of the blowing port of the plurality of fans 201, and the plurality of fans 201 are separately controlled to change the cooling air and uniformize the temperature of the PDP panel 101.
