PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small optical pickup device having stable servo characteristics. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device has a base member 4, an objective lens 1a fixed to the base member, and coils 2a and 2b fixed to the base member. The base member 4 has cutouts 41 and 42 cut inward on the sides parallel to an optical axis of the objective lens 1a. The coils 2a and 2b are fixed to the cutouts 41 and 42.
