PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic paper in which the image quality of a recorded image is improved. SOLUTION: A device for recording an image on electronic paper includes: a charged body 20 which is electrically charged at a prescribed electrical potential; a counter member 50 arranged opposite to the charged body; a conveying member 60 which conveys the electronic paper 100; an electric field-generating part which generates an electric field alongside of a thickness direction, when the electronic paper is located between an image carrier and the counter member, to move colored charged particles in the thickness direction to make the electronic paper display images; and a controller which makes the conveying member convey the electronic paper to sequentially send the mutually different parts of the electronic paper, makes the electric field-generating part execute first processing for sequentially displaying the images, and further makes the electronic paper to be conveyed to make the electric field-generating part execute second processing for sequentially displaying the images again at parts where first processing is displayed by the electric field-generating part, wherein pressure contact force with which the charged body makes pressure contact with the counter member when the second processing is executed is smaller than pressure contact force when the first processing is executed.
