PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information acquisition device, program and system, informing a server of the accurate positional information of its own device while reducing a communication frequency to the server. SOLUTION: The position information acquisition devices 13A to 13D for the position information acquisition system 1 has: a first communication means communicating with other position information acquisition devices; a detecting means detecting a reduction more than of equal to a threshold value of the number of other position information acquisition devices communicating by the first communication means on the basis of history information recording other position information acquisition devices communicating by the first communication means and the information of other position information acquisition devices currently communicating by the first communication means; a position measuring means measuring the positions of their own devices when there are detections by the detecting means; and a second communication means transmitting positional information measured by the position measuring means, to the server.
