A capacity database, such as the telephone book of a cellular phone, requires an efficient, high-speed search algorithm with the requirements of less memory and less calculation amount. In general, the conventional search algorithms used in PCs are not suitable for cellular phone systems having limitations in a calculation power and in a storage capacity. According to the invention, the database of an information communication terminal device is structurized and constituted by a data table and an LUT. Data to be stored in the database, such as profile data, are classified as IDs and personal information. A hash table is applied only to the IDs, thereby calculating hash values. This hash table is used as a guideline for storing indices of the database.
