PURPOSE: A portable terminal having a dual display unit and a method for providing a clipboard function for the same are provided to mount two display units to a main body. CONSTITUTION: A second display unit(330) is formed on a second body of a mobile terminal. The second display unit indicates a screen data. The second display unit offers a specific area which is a part of a clipboard region when performing a clipboard function. A storage(200) stores an object according to the execution of the clipboard function. A controller(400) controls the registration or the addition of the object based on the first display unit in which a clip event is generated.
