PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a compound optical element by which deterioration in aberration of the compound optical element is reduced even in use in a highly humid environment.

SOLUTION: The sealing structure of the compound optical element includes: the compound optical element which has a plurality of layers and in which a layer of a hydrophilic material is formed in an intermediate layer; and a sealing member which is composed of a material with a water absorption rate lower than the hydrophilic material, and which covers the circumference of the compound optical element so that the layer of the hydrophilic material is separated from an external air.
