<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby power consumption of a printer device such that a regulation of each nation and various kinds of regulations are cleared while keeping an interface with an external apparatus in an effective state. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of power reduction techniques for reducing power of a print engine 22 corresponding to regulation values of a plurality of pieces of required standby power consumption are mounted in the printer device 20, the plurality of power reduction techniques mounted in the printer device 20A are presented, selection of a power reduction technique corresponding to the regulation value of the standby power consumption corresponding to the environmental condition under which the printer device 20A is used, is received from the plurality of power reduction techniques, and a printer standby state where the power of the print engine 22 is reduced while maintaining a communication function of a communication control part 21 is set by the power reduction technique selected from the plurality of power reduction techniques. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
