PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of a jam and skew carrying of a recording sheet more than the conventional occurrence.

SOLUTION: A driving restricting mechanism 616 is arranged in a driving transmission mechanism for transmitting rotational driving force of a driving motor 617 to a first side fence 611 and a second side fence 612. When torque applied to a driven side driving transmitting rotary body in the driving restricting mechanism 616 exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the first side fence 611 and the second side fence 612 are stopped by cutting off the transmission of the rotational driving force to the driven side driving transmitting rotary body from a prime mover side driving transmitting rotary body in the driving restricting mechanism 616.
