PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods suitable for dental treatment planning. SOLUTION: Computer-implemented systems and methods implement a dental treatment plan by specifying tooth movement patterns using a two-dimensional array and generating treatment paths to move the teeth in accordance with the specified pattern. The computer system further includes a processor, a data storage device coupled to the processor, a computer-implementable code for specifying the tooth movement patterns using the two-dimensional array, and a computer-implementable code for generating the treatment paths to move the teeth in accordance with the specified pattern.
