PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new perfluoroalkyl magnesium alkoxide or perfluoroaryl magnesium alkoxide. SOLUTION: There is provided the perfluoroalkyl magnesium alkoxide or perfluoroaryl magnesium alkoxide represented by formula (5): RfMgOR2, prepared by adding a halogenide represented by formula (4): RfX to an alkyl magnesium alkoxide represented by formula (3): R1MgOR2prepared by an alkyl magnesium halide represented by formula (1): R1MgX and a potassium alkoxide or alcohol represented by formula (2): R2OA.
