PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gypsum board breaker which can separate a broken gypsum which is obtained by efficiently crushing and finely breaking the gypsum board from broken paper pieces under a simple constitution with a reduced number of components, and also, can realize the curtailing of an initial cost and a running cost, with the inhibition of generation of noise and dust and the resultant avoiding of worsening of operating environments. SOLUTION: The gypsum board crusher includes one of the crushing/breaking roll 3 which crushes and breaks the gypsum board starting with its face, with the outer circumferential surface of the roll 3 shaped like a hand drum, and the other crushing/breaking roll 4 which crushes and breaks the gypsum board starting with its back, with the outer circumferential surface shaped like a hand drum. In addition, the crushing/breaking rolls 3 and 4 are arranged opposite to each other through an arcked gap 13 formed and sandwiched between the outer circumferential surfaces of the crushing/breaking rolls 3 and 4 on the first surface 12 spanning the axes C1 and C2 by shortest distance. Further, the gypsum board is sent into the arcked gap 13 along the third surface 15 which inclines to the other crushing/breaking roll 4 side at a sharp angleθ2 with the second surface 14 which is orthogonal with the first surface 12.
