The calculating unit has a serial high-speed communication interface (104) connected with a serial high-speed communication interface (202) of an upper control unit (10) to electrically connect a servo driver (20) with the control unit and to form a receiving interface for receiving executable commands. A queue buffer (204) is connected with the communication interface of the control unit to form a memory for memorizing the commands. A tool trajectory calculator (206) is connected with the buffer to receive and compute the commands and to produce waypoints along tool trajectories. An independent claim is also included for a method for computing tool trajectories of a numerical controlled system.
