<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchgear equipped with a double-bus, capable of inspecting devices in a case or performing an operation related to one bus, without stopping power supply to a load. <P>SOLUTION: The switchgear of double-bus type includes: a case that contains equipment chamber and a bus chamber formed by demarcation with a ground metal plate; an upper main bus and a lower main bus that are arranged at the upper part and the lower part in the bus chamber of the case in width direction of the case with a conductor being covered with a solid insulating substance and its surface being at ground potential; an upper switch unit which contains a breaker with one side connected to the upper main bus through a communication bus; a lower switch unit which contains a breaker with one side connected to the lower main bus through the communication bus; and a lead bus whose one end is connected to both the other side of the upper switch unit and the other side of the lower switch unit while the other end is connected to a cable.
