PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door hinge device which opens a door reliabily in an emergency at a front collision, a rear-end collision, a side collision or roll-over of a vehicle, while dispensing with a large structural change in a door and a vehicle body, and a vehicle with the door connected in an openable/closable manner to the vehicle body by the door hinge device. SOLUTION: The door hinge device 4 includes: a vehicle body side bracket 10 mounted to the vehicle body 2; a door side bracket 20 mounted to the door 3; hinge pins 30 serving as shaft members for connecting these brackets 10, 20 turnably; a connection release mechanism 40 detaching the hinge pins 30 from the respective brackets 10, 20 to release the mutual connection of the brackets 10, 20; and a control device 60 for the connection release mechanism 40. When a knob 3a or 3b is operated after the operation of an air bag device, the connection release mechanism 40 of each door hinge device 4 is operated to release the connection of the vehicle body side bracket 10 and door side bracket 20.
