PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter for preventing continuation of improper planting actions caused by abnormal feeding of seedlings by detecting transfer of a seedling to a feeding position by a seedling transfer detection means other than an optical sensor. SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter is configured to include a planting part 4 attached to the back of a traveling body 2 through a lifting link device 3 and vertically reciprocating to plant seedlings on a field, multiple row seedling trays 80 for holding seedlings and positioned on the planting part 4, a seedling receiving frame 81 for receiving seedlings and placed under each of the multiple row of seedling trays 80, and a seedling feeding device 95 to feed the seedlings placed on the multiple row seeding trays 80. The seedling tray 80 is provided with a start-up detector 31 to transmit a start-up signal by detection of start-up of the seedling feeding device 95 and multiple row seedling detectors 30a-30f transmitting a contact signal upon detection of contact of a seedling approaching a seedling take-out port 78, and an alarming member 32 is actuated when there is no transmission of the contact signal from the seedling detectors 30a-30f within a predetermined period from the transmission of the start-up signal from the start-up detector 31.
