Provide are a method for switching facsimile, an accessing device and a facsimile system. The method comprises: an accessing node receives a first initial calling request message from a first terminal; the accessing node responses the first initial calling request message, and sends a second initial calling request message to a second terminal, the accessing node receives a initial calling success response message returned by the second terminal, and determines, according to the initial calling success response message, the fax capability supported by the second terminal; after establishing a media streaming channel, the accessing node detects the first terminal to start fax, and converts the audio communication state of the media streaming channel into the fax state according to the fax capability supported by the second terminal. Through adopting the method, accessing device and fax system in the embodiments of the invention, the problem of multiple negotiation when switching the fax model, which results the network transmitting resource waste and the lower fax rate, can be solved.
