<p>The line unit has a primary pipe (16) which is coupled with a secondary pipe (12) over a coupling element (14). The coupling element is accessible in a connecting region in the interior of the two pipes. One end of the primary pipe protrudes into the secondary pipe. The coupling element is attached at the outer side of the primary pipe in the connecting region. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a line unit of a motor vehicle.</p>
