CARNOSINE EXTRACTED FROM MARINE ANIMALS AND THE METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for isolating carnosine using fish as an ingredient is provided to ensure antioxidation and to be used in a pharmaceutical or cosmetic product. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating carnosine comprises: a step of pulverizing fish; a step of mixing pulverized fish with picric acid and performing ion exchange; and a step of performing ultrafiltration of the sample to control molecular weight. The used fish is Anguilla japonica. An antioxidative composition contains carnosine as an active ingredient.
