REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE AND PROJECTOR

PURPOSE: A reflective liquid crystal device and projector are provided to have the high reliability and have the high display quality by having a reflective liquid crystal device which is able to realize a high contrast even if the change of an optical condition is generated. CONSTITUTION: A reflective liquid crystal device includes as follows. A liquid crystal cell(83) is pinched between a pair of substrates and has a pre-tilt. An optical compensation plate(84) has a first optical axis(C1) having a thickness direction by having refraction index anisotropy of the minus and is installed in outer side of the pair of the substrate. The optical compensation plate is able to have a slope to a first direction.
