PURPOSE: A hood latch assembly for protecting the pedestrian is provided to open the hood through an open lever by restoring the open lever in the predetermined position when the hood is open. CONSTITUTION: A hood latch assembly for protecting the pedestrian comprises an open lever(130), a rotary blade(120), and a safety hook(110). The open lever is rotated downward based on the second rotary shaft in the longitudinal direction while pressed through the hood shaft. The rotary blade comprises a third blade arm(123) coupled by the secondary rotary shaft through the open lever. The rotary blade passes through a first blade and is rotatably assembled. The safety hook comprises a second hook arm(112) which holds up a second blade arm(122). The safety hook is rotatably assembled and has the same axis with the rotary blade.
