<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device preventing energy loss of a microwave and making a discharge lamp efficiently light-emit. <P>SOLUTION: In the light source device, a free end 36 of the discharge lamp 35, and an end of the discharge lamp 35 fixed by being insulated from a center conductor 30, namely, a part located at a length L from the free end 36 respectively become the maximum amplitude of an electric field of a stationary wave, and the center of a space (enclosure) part 31 of the discharge lamp 35 located at the length L/2 from the free end 36 becomes the minimum amplitude of the electric field of the stationary wave. Therefore, power of the microwave can be efficiently supplied to a light-emitting part 20 of the discharge lamp 35, and the discharge lamp 35 can be efficiently light-emitted. Furthermore, the discharge lamp 35 can be shortened rather than a calculated value, and the miniaturized light source device 1 can be attained. Furthermore, light-emission from the discharge lamp 35 can be efficiently shined since transmission loss of the microwave is lessened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
