PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment fine particle dispersion which contains pigment fine particles having small particle diameters and good dispersibility and is therefore useful as a color material for a color filter.

SOLUTION: The pigment fine particle dispersion contains pigment fine particles and a compound represented by general formula (1), (wherein Q is an organic dye residue having an aromatic ring; R1and R2are each hydrogen or alkyl; n represents an integer of 1-4; and P represents heterocyclic). The compound is a compound bb-11 obtained, for example, by reaction formula (A).
