<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device for practicing and supporting golf whose size can be adjusted according to a place of use, without being unnecessarily enlarged, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The device for practicing and supporting golf includes detachable first case body 21 and second case body 22. A Doppler sensor 31 is provided in the second case body 22. The first case body 21 includes: a position measuring part 11 determining a current position; a golf course data storage part 12 storing course layout information on a golf course; and a control part 13 reading a corresponding course layout from the golf course data storage part 12 based on the current position determined by the position measuring part 11, and displaying the course layout in a display device 14. The control part 13 also includes a function of measuring a club swing speed based on output from the Doppler sensor 31 and determining an estimated flying distance. When the first case body 21 operates alone, a navigation function displaying the course layout is started.
