<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine using gasoline and alcohol as fuel and yielding sufficient output even though the alcohol is injected into an intake port. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 1 includes a first fuel injection means 6 injecting the gasoline into the intake port 4 or injecting the gasoline directly into a combustion chamber 2, and a second fuel injection means 8 injecting the alcohol into the intake port 4. The second fuel injection means 8 collides the alcohol directly against the wall surface of an intake valve 4a or the intake port 4 by injecting the same in such a way that a diameter of a dispersion zone located at a distance of 100 mm to an injection position is not more than 10 mm, and then lets the same flow into the combustion chamber 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
