BUSINESS CARD RECOGNIZING DEVICE HAVING FUNCTION CONVERTING CHINESE CHARACTER TO KOREAN CHARACTER AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method and device for recognizing a name card having a Chinese character/Korean character converting function are provided to improve user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A camera module(110) provides a name card image by photographing the name card in which the Chinese character is described. A first dictionary storing unit(120) stores the first pronunciation of Chinese character and a Korean alphabet corresponding to the first pronunciation and provides Korean alphabet corresponding to the first pronunciation. A control unit(170) extracts the Chinese character from the name card image, uses the first pronunciation Chinese character which is provided from the first dictionary storing unit and Korean alphabet corresponding to the same and converts the character into the Korean alphabet. A display unit displays a Korean alphabet which is received from the control unit.
