PURPOSE: An antibacterial composition containing calcium hydroxide and boron is provided to ensure high safety. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial composition contains calcium hydroxide and boron. The content of boron is 0.05-0.2 mass% based on total mass of the composition. A method for manufacturing the composition comprises: a step of plasticizing waste shell containing calcium ingredient derived from animals and adding water to prepare a composition containing calcium hydroxide as a main ingredient; and a step of mixing boron to the powder. The calcium hydroxide is derived from scallop waste shell, abalone waste shell, spiny turban shell, and clam shell. |
