PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device capable of eliminating unnatural displays, when making a change in scene. SOLUTION: The occurrence of a scene change from an image of low brightness to an image of high brightness, and generation of white paint out of an amplified image are detected. When both of the events occur, an input image which is not amplified is output to a display device, in place of the amplified image having the white paint out. As a result, solid white paint of an observed image is eliminated, and an unnatural display is prevented. Since an expensive frame memory is not required, large increase in cost is also not entailed.
