PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device in which in-vehicle mountability is improved and manufacturing cost is reduced by minimizing the size of a protrusion of a connector housing from a unit case. SOLUTION: A cylindrical electric motor 14 and a boxy control unit 52 are mounted on the mounting part 51a formed on the periphery of a housing 51, wherein the boxy control unit 52 is parallel to the motor axis line M1 of the electric motor, and the external surface of the unit case 53 is adjacent to the periphery of the electric motor. The unit connector housing 55 for a control unit which connects an external connector housing for a power harness with a sensor harness is provided so as to be positioned in the space formed between the periphery of the electric motor and the external surface of the unit case.
